International Friendship Party 2024
On Thursday, October 31st, the International Friendship Party 2024, hosted by the university president, was held at KANAMORI INDUSTRIES hall.
This event was planned to bring together international students, Japanese students, and faculty members to share their cultures, deepen mutual understanding, and expand their social networks.
There were approximately 160 participants, including international students, President Saito, Mr. Yohei Kanamori, President and CEO of Kanamori Industries Co., Ltd., faculty and staff and Japanese students.
The event began with an opening address by President Saito, followed by a Naginata performance as the opening act. After that the event was opened with a toast by Yohei Kanamori, President and CEO of Kanamori Industries Co., Ltd. Students from South Korea, Mongolia, Indonesia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Libya, and Cameroon presented their own customs, cultures and songs.
Halal food was prepared, considering cultural backgrounds, ensuring everyone had an enjoyable time. Additionally, many international students participated in attire representing their home countries, and some wore Japanese yukatas and kimonos. Given that it was Halloween, many students also came in costumes, making it a lively event.
The event concluded successfully with a group photo of participants.
