Prof. Ján Minár, University of Toyama Liaison Professor at the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic, paid a courtesy visit to President Shigeru Saito.
On March 10, 2025, Prof. Ján Minár from the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic, who is University of Toyama Liaison Professor, paid a courtesy visit to President Saito.
Prof. Ján Minár was recommended by Assoc. Prof. Keisuke Hatada, School of Science and was appointed as University of Toyama Liaison Professor on October 26, 2023, when President Saito paid a courtesy visit to the University of West Bohemia, the partner university. Since being appointed, Prof. Ján Minár has contributed to academic exchange with us in a wide range of areas, including accepting graduate students from our graduate school of science and engineering, co-organizing symposiums, and coordinating the exchange of researchers in the Arts.
Prof. Ján Minár will stay at our university for about a month on sabbatical to collaborate with Assoc. Prof. Hatada. President Saito expressed his appreciation to him and asked his continued cooperation and hoped that his research activities at our university would be fruitful. Then, Assoc. Prof. Hatada explained about the planned international exchanges with the University of West Bohemia and exchanged opinions.?
It is expected that academic exchanges with the Czech Republic and the University of West Bohemia, led by Professor Ján Minár, will be more active in the future.
