Group of participants from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Visits University of Toyama
On July 27, 2023, 6 participants from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) paid a visit to University of Toyama(UT) for the implementation of JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program, “Regulatory Systems on Ensuring Access to Quality Medicines,”.
This program was carried out for pharmaceutical administration officials and pharmacists from key hospitals in developing countries to learn about the practice of legal system, review system, safety measures, monitoring and guidance system, etc. of pharmaceutical administration in Japan, aiming for the development of pharmaceutical administration systems and policies in their countries.
Participants visited The Institute of Natural Medicine(INM)of UT and Toyama University Hospital as one of the highlights of Toyama field trip.
After having a presentation by Prof. Yoshihiro Hayakawa, Director of INM, the group toured the Museum of Materia Medica. Then, Prof. Atsushi Kato, Director of Department of Hospital Pharmacy gave a lecture on Dispensing of Kampo medicine, followed by another tour at Department of Hospital Pharmacy.
The group listened to his lecture and explanations along the tour enthusiastically.
