Delegation from Thamasat University visits University of Toyama
On April 4, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arom Jedsadayanametha, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kesinee Netsomboon, and Dr.Panita Suwannoi of Faculty of Pharmacy, Thamasat University (FPTU) visited the Institute of Natural Medicine (INM), University of Toyama(UT), to conclude an inter-faculty academic exchange agreement and discuss future academic collaborations.
As a result of continuous discussions for the promotion of academic exchange between INM and FPTU since 2022 through international conferences and other opportunities, two universities have come to the conclusion to form an academic exchange agreement, which includes the promotion of joint research and researcher exchanges.
After signing the agreement, Prof. Hayakawa, Director of INM and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Arom Jedsadayanametha, Dean of FPTU, had a lunch meeting and actively exchanged views on the specific details of future exchanges.
After the meeting, the delegation visited Museum of Materia Medica of INM, UT, where they observed approximately 30,000 herbal medicine specimens and other items in the collection.
Afterwards, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Executive Vice President Ikeda, UT. Prof. Hayakawa and the delegation reported to Executive Vice President Ikeda on the signing of the agreement and exchanged opinions on researcher and student exchanges in a friendly atmosphere.
With this visit, further development between FPTU and UT can be expected.
