本日、令和7年度9月期学位記授与式において、海外からの留学生28名を含む、学部卒業生21名、大学院修士課程修了生27名、同じく博士課程修了生16名、そして論文博士2名、合計66名の皆さんに学位記を授与いたしました。卒業生、修了生の皆さん、ご卒業誠におめでとうございます。富山大学教職員を代表して、皆様に心よりお慶びを申し上げます。
Since we have international students here today, I would like to give a short congratulatory message in English.
Hello everyone. It’ｓ a great pleasure to see you all today.
You have been awarded a degree by University of Toyama.
On behalf of the University, I extend my sincere congratulations.
現在世界は大きく変化しつつあります。政情の不安、貧富の差の拡大、世界で起こっている紛争、経済安全保障の問題、経済の不安定性とインフレの拡大、気候の温暖化と自然災害の増加、ならびに生成AIの進化と規制などです。このような時代に諸君は大学を卒業され、社会に旅立たれます。富山大学では、それぞれの専門分野での研究指導に加えて、これらの世界的な変化に対応するため、グローバルな視点を養成し、AIをはじめとするデータサイエンス教育を充実させ、コミュニケーション力を高めるなど、皆さんに高次スキルを習得していただけるように教育してきました。これまで大学で学んできた経験を活かして、変化していく状況を素早く察知し、多くの仲間と連携し、自分の長所を活かして種々の課題を解決していただきたいと思っています。その結果、多くの国々で課題が解決し、世界中の人々の幸福につながる事を祈っています。富山大学での教育を受けた皆様は自信を持っていただき、ぜひとも社会で活躍していただきたいです。
The world is currently undergoing significant changes.
These include political instability, widening wealth gaps, conflicts occurring globally, economic security issues, economic instability and rising inflation, climate warming and increased natural disasters, as well as the evolution and regulation of generative AI.
In these times, you are graduating from University and leaving for the world.
At University of Toyama, in addition to providing research guidance in each specialized field, we have been working to help students acquire advanced skills by fostering a global perspective, enhancing data science education—including AI—and improving communication skills, in order to respond to these global changes.
I hope that you will use the experience you have gained so far at the university to quickly perceive changing situations, collaborate with many colleagues, and use your strengths to solve various problems.
I hope that as a result, challenges will be resolved in many countries, leading to the happiness of people around the world.
I hope that all of you who have received an education at University of Toyama will be able to play an active role in society with confidence.
学問は日々進歩しており、社会環境は日々変化していますので、富山大学を卒業し社会人となってもそれぞれの分野で、日々研鑽を積み知識を深めていって下さい。生涯学習という言葉がありますが、常に学び、学んだ事を活かして自分自身がさらに大きく成長していかれる事を私達富山大学の教職員は願っています。また学生時代に築いた人と人とのつながりや地域とのネットワークを、大切にして、社会に出ていかれても富山大学や富山県と繋がりを持ち続けて下さい。仲間と助け合い、種々の課題を解決する事が、真の自立と言えますので、どうか富山大学で一緒に学んだ学友と助け合いながら、諸課題を解決して下さい。
Academic knowledge advances daily, and the social environment changes constantly. Therefore, even after graduating from University of Toyama and entering the workforce, please continue to dedicate yourselves to daily study and deepen your knowledge in your respective fields.
There is a phrase “lifelong learning,” and we, the faculty and staff of University of Toyama, hope that you will always learn and apply what you have learned to your own great personal growth.
I also hope that you will continue to cherish the personal connections and regional networks you have established as a student, and continue to maintain ties with University of Toyama and Toyama Prefecture even after entering society.
True independence means working together with your peers to solve various challenges. Therefore, I wish you to tackle these challenges by supporting one another alongside your fellow students you studied with at University of Toyama.
海外から富山大学に留学された皆様、この度の御卒業、誠におめでとうございます。初めて富山県に来られて、言葉や生活習慣の違いに適応することは、さぞかし大変であったかと思います。しかし、皆さんは指導教官や先輩学生および同級生のサポートがあり、本日、ここに富山大学を無事、卒業されることになりました。多くの困難を克服して、単位を取得して、本日、学位記授与式を迎えることが出来ました。御両親や御家族もさぞかし喜んでおられることと思います。これからは母国へ帰国される方、日本に残って仕事に就く方もおられると思います。どちらの場合も富山大学で学んだ事を活かして、活躍していただきたいと思います。また、Webを活用して、富山大学の学友や教官との連絡を頻回に取り合うようにして下さい。富山大学は皆さんとの末永い交流を強く願っています。
Congratulations to all of you who studied at University of Toyama from abroad on your graduation.
I am sure it must have been very difficult for you to adjust to the different language and lifestyle in Toyama Prefecture after coming here for the first time.
However, with the support of your instructors and classmates, you have all successfully graduated from University of Toyama today.
After overcoming many difficulties and obtaining the credits, we are pleased to celebrate your degree conferment ceremony today.
I am sure that your parents and family must be very happy.
I believe that some of you will return to your home countries and some of you will remain in Japan to work.
In either case, I hope that you will make use of what you have learned at University of Toyama and play an active role.
Please also make frequent use of the web to stay in touch with your fellow students and faculty at University of Toyama.
University of Toyama sincerely hopes to maintain a lasting relationship with you.
